They are the brightest lights in the Boston skyline as viewed from the Cambridge, Somerville, and Arlington areas. The building, is nothing more than fancy apartments and condos, some with great views, but the bright lights atop it ruin the view for so many other areas. If it were a more important building in the city, maybe it would be ok, but I&#8217;m not even sure. Anyways, a friend of mine, Brian, until recently lived at North Point. Before he left he had a party and we got to go up on the roof deck. It provided a great view of the city, if only because it by necessity didn&#8217;t include those damned north point lights.<\/p>\n<p>A panorama of the skyline:<a href=\"http:\/\/72.233.35.22\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/northpoint2-800.png\"><img src=\"http:\/\/72.233.35.22\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/northpoint2-thumbnail.png\" alt=\"\" title=\"Skyline Panorama from North Point\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1219\" width=\"450\" srcset=\"http:\/\/liryon.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/northpoint2-thumbnail.png 400w, http:\/\/liryon.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/northpoint2-thumbnail-300x102.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nIt gets a little blurry on the right side, sadly I didn&#8217;t get a real stable image of that section.<\/p>\n<p>This is possibly the best shot of Boston I&#8217;ve ever taken, it is a 15 second, hand steadied exposure of the Zakim Bridge, Financial District, and the MOS:<a href=\"http:\/\/72.233.35.22\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/IMG_0727.jpg\"><img src=\"http:\/\/72.233.35.22\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/IMG_0727-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"15 Second Exposure of Downtown Boston\" width=\"450\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-1217\" srcset=\"http:\/\/liryon.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/IMG_0727-1024x768.jpg 1024w, http:\/\/liryon.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/IMG_0727-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I despise the North Point building in Cambridge, near the Museum of Science for its huge white lights.
